Yes, same problem here! This seems to have started a couple days ago. No 'earth/satellite' basemap option. This is VITAL for me. I must have the satellite base map back!! ![Mad :x](./images/smilies/icon_mad.gif)

Maybe Hopki(n) can help with this too
This probably does not apply to your situation but still just curious
Is: Your service must be freely and publicly accessible to end users.
and read more: Read paragraph 2

I don't think so. That would be a Pano2VR Google API usage issue then. Not us as end users since the satellite base map option is not showing on the Pano2VR software. If it were not showing in our panos hosted on our sites then yes, that would apply. But this seems to be an issue within the Pano2VR application.
A test would be to ask users of Pano2VR to see if they are also missing the 'map/satellite' button in the 'coordinates' window.
FWIW I'm on a iMac running OSX 10.10.1 and Pano2VR Version: 4.5.0 pro 64bit Cocoa.
The odd thing is it just suddenly disappeared a couple days ago.

thanks for that information
Martin is on his mobile now.. so it might be some time before he is able to some research on his desktop.
In the meantime, I just did a screen capture. Seems I have the street map working - no button for viewing satellite

Here's what I'm talking about. The 'Map | Satellite' button is missing. The default basemap is street map and I have no ability to activate the satellite basemap.

Can anyone else go to coordinates window and confirm?

I can confirm that I also don't have the satellite image button. There was a single [x] where the compass use to be.
Google has recently announced the deprecation to Google Earth API. But that date is a year away.

Maybe they also implemented some changes to the API to get satellite images.
I checked a imbedded Google Map on a pano an it worked there.

Hi,
As promised, this is now bug tracked Issue #1205.
I have also set the severity to major as I know this is used often.
Regards,
Hopki

It goes like this.
I was in the middle of a big project myself.
I used the satellite views in user data to pin point my virtual tour, the landmark trick to align it north, and all good.
For two days now... not satellite view...
ALSO... i cannot see the "see inside" thing on Google Pages for businesses. I was told from Google Support that this is a global (?) bug and they are working on it.
So this can be beyond Pano2VR, people...
I ll try some checks, and post again.

What we've been doing in the mean time is opening a Google Earth window next to Pano2VR and 'finding' the lat/long with Earth. Then transpose the lat/long manually into Pano2VR. Clunky but it works until this is fixed.
