Just upgraded to v4.0b2.

I'm doing interior virtual tours, thus the Google Maps features of the Pro version aren't useful.

What I figured I could do is use the floorplan that I'm making panos for and set North relative to the top of each image.

I've used Nodes in my map -- had to add an action to open the respective SWF file as I'm not using Pro. I made sure to review the sample tour.zip provided on the v4.0 demo page.

Thing is, my tours are still opening with default orientation. As I'm able to set North for each tour, and as I'm able to set nodes on the skin -- and as there is no documentation - I'm assuming that there MUST be a way to use the orientation options so that tours open relative to the direction that I'm travelling through a floorplan.

Is this not so?

If it's possible, what am I doing wrong?

I noticed that opening the sample tour's Park Tour.p2vr file and looking at the hotspots, it seems that the default Pan/Tilt/Fov appears in the 'target' field (234.5/2.5/65)

So I'm wondering if the Pro Version automatically fills this field by pulling this data from the nodes of the multi-pano tour.

If so ... that's a little bit lame. It would make sense that if I click on a hotspot that is oriented South, that I would appear in the next scene facing South with default FOV/Tilt.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I think that it's reasonable that this be allowed on the non-pro version. If it's NOT allowed, then by all means, please disable the 'North' options (or write 'PRO' next to them.)

Hi Chris,
The set North option works with the Pan North Modifier for setting up radar beams.
For pointing a tour please see: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Poi ... rtual_Tour

With the Pro version this can all be done in the Hotspot Editor, the non Pro with separate p2vr files you need to follow the above tip.
To see how the Pro version points a tour please see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... TRkos4Y-70
You will see at time index 1:09 I click the Target Viewing Parameters button to set the opening view of the next node.

Hopki

Thanks for the link.

In looking at the Placeholder FAQ/Video, it would make sense to just use $cur in the "target" field...

Re: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Lis ... aceholders
$cur = current pan/tilt/fov - (use in open next panorama target field)

Thing is, for this to work, it would require that an option be added to Pano2VR v4.0 to allow North to define 0 Degrees.

Would this feature request be a reasonable thing that the community could find useful?
