Hi Thomas
When encoding MP3’s, what’s the best settings?
Depending what MP3 I am using I have had lock ups, no sound and some even close P2VR.

Any chance of OGG format support in the future.

All the best Hopki :)

Hi Hum, keeping well?

I did not know that OGG was not supported by flash, so thanks for that.
Licensing, are you saying that because Pano2VR can play MP3’s Thomas needs a licence?

I am interested in knowing more about this.

Regards
Hopki :)

Hi Hum, thanks for the info.

I will look into this further, but as P2VR outputs swf and not MP3 I am not sure if this applies in this case. Adobe has a licence for MP3 and as the music actually played by the Flash player I think Thomas has nothing to worry about, but as I said I will look into this.

But thanks for your help on this so far
Kind regards
Hopki :)

Same here.
In my case I can only work with 96 kbps files.
80 and 64kbps ones crashes Pano2VR or produces panoramas without sound.

Hi I have found out about the licence issues, regarding MP3, Thomas has nothing to worry about.
I contacted the MP3 Licensing people saying I have some software that you can import MP3 sounds and music to, but outputs swf and plays in a flash player. Their response is this:
If your application creates Flash files, and plays Flash files, and neither creates nor is capable of playing a .mp3 file, then our license is not required.

Job done

Thx Martin for asking. Even if I would play the mp3 (which may happen at some point as "preview") the fee only applies if I had to pay more then 15,000.00 $ a year, if I stay below this amount I am fine without registering. If my sales would grow that much that I reach the 15,000.00 $ fee limit (= 1.200.000,00 $ in Pano2VR license fees/year...) I would be definitely fine and I would happily pay Thomson ;) .
MfG, Thomas
