Sorry for my English, i use google translator,
You can animate the hotspot? since I managed to create a panoramic video as his tutorial, I would like to get some hotspots in a given time and then make them disappear. If you could move would be even better.
If you can use video as a background we must find ways to take advantage of the hot spots in this new mode ... hotspot still forced to have a firm video.
I tried to import the swf that is created for the panoramic video in flash cs3, but you can not handle it. It's possible animate the hotspot?
Thanks

Hi
you can use hover change state to get some basic animation.

Animated hotspots can perhaps be created with animated gif's (Haven't tried yet)

Using swf's doesn't work actually.

What about this one then?
http://tinyurl.com/animated-hotspot01

Look 60 degrees to the left (or about 15 degrees NorthEast).

It's perhaps a bit crude, but very lively : )
I'll replace it a.s.a.p because the animation isn't mine.
Also note that all those spinning spheres are Flash animations too.

Cheers!

Erik

Ah I see a running man. Cool

Question? Is a .swf a .swf ? Meaning Adobe Flash makes a .swf which apparantly works inside your panorama. But can a .swf created using Swish2.0 or SwishMax 2004 work as well. Currently Swish is not installed on my new computer. Swish Max would be Flash 6 based - its an old piece of software.

I really don't know, you'll just have to try.
It will take some time before I am anything but clueless about Flash as I am now, I've just started learning Flash CS4.
Everything I've done before last weekend was made using Pano2VR and Adobe Image Ready CS2 (and Photoshop of course).

Experiment, play with it, try crazy things, who knows what fabulous things you might create!
Have fun!

Cheers!

Erik

Yes I checked with current versions Swish Max2 / 2009 with support Flash 9 output (It's not junk's Swish 2 - Flash 6)
I think this will also work, as from version 2007 and higer ( Flash 7/8/9)

*only inside SWF Panoramas (not for shell framework)
**also itself Flash 10 Player understands old commands via AS1(?) and AS2 (full)

Previously had been using Swish since 2001. But stopped for many years. I just reinstalled SwishMax 2006.06.29. Got my registered key fixed on new machine. Tried it.. works. Then promptly went to the discontinued section at Swishzone and downloaded and installed 2007.05.24.

If this works... with Flash 9 we are back in business. If not.. will probably upgrade to SwishMax2. This animation thing inside a Pano2VR panorama puts a whole new extension to Pano2VR.

As I recall, Swish is a whole lot less expensive than Flash CS4.

Thanks for the nudge in the proper direction.

OK I just listened and viewed Hotspot tutorial sequesnce 1 - 5. Karen did a great job.

Understand how to place a .jpg Template into the panorama.
Yes even I ask dumb questions. Dumb question.. how do you do same with a .swf ?
Only looks like it accepts a .jpg for an image or file type.

Just nest and stack everything you need onto your hotspot in the skin editor.

Note that in this case I reduced the scale of the (somewhat large) runner animation to 0.5 in the running state, and to 0.25 in the stationary state. Normally you wouldn't do that of course, but this was just a quick example.

Thank you for creating the combined graphic above... it explains it all.

Ow, hang on!
What I forgot to mention is that I made a transparent .PNG of the same dimensions as the .SWF, and used that for the button.
This way the transparent, thus invisible, button hangs over the animation and causes the cursor to change into a hand.
All necessary Actions/Modifiers are then added to the button, governing the behaviour of all elements under it.

This invisible button overlay is essential to many of my designs, that's why I wasn't very happy with the alpha/visibility changes Thomas made.

Cheers,

Erik

That makes sense - a 220h x 160w transparent /24bit .png for the button

My last copy of SwishMax 2007 was discontinued. Now I think I might know why... they may have started using Action Script 2 to work with Flash Player 8,9 and 10

All I see in my pano is a white box meaning that content is not recognized.

Looks like I will upgrade the SwishMax2. The upgrade is only about $75.
