Hi
Help needed please. :?

I am having issues will the skin editor and a certain little Alpha problem :!:
It seems that what is visible and what is not, depends on Browser and Flash player :?:

Please can people test the following for me.
Looking at rollover effects and textbox/tool tips fading in and out properly.

Test 1
Test 1 should also load better quality image on full screen.

Test 2

It all works with Flash player 10 and IE 7, so if you have some thing else please have a try.

Many thanks :D

New member saying hi!

Test 1 and 2 work with Fire Fox! The High res, Full Screen feature works well and the roll over effects work too.

I hope that helps

Thank you to every one so far, :D
Has any one got IE 6 with flash 9? That’s the big test.
Many thanks once again.

Try an old Flash9 standalone player, you'll find that text with an alpha of less than 1 won't fade.
Old problem, alas.

Cheers,

This is the problem if you try and cater for all.
People who sit on old outdated versions of browsers and the like are sure to be left wanting.
Personally I wouldn't be too concerned about it. If you really think it necessary add a note to the page recommending that it is designed for use with "this and that" or simply advise to get the most from this experience the latest version of browser and flash are required.

Believe me, it can't be worse than Java 50% if you didn't have the latest version - nothing would show at all!

Hi Smooth 8)
You are right, however I have made some basic tweaks to the skin which means that people with older players will see text appear and disappear and people with newer players will see text fade in and out. :)

Tested as recommended by Erik and all works well, even Eriks idea about using Alpha text.
I have set text in the middle of a test pano saying “To enhance your visual experience please upgrade to flash player 10” with a click here button to go to the flash website.
Thiis is set to alpha .01 and hides on loaded.
So the text is only visible to flash 9 players and only while loading.

This should still all work when Thomas gets around to fixing the problem of alpha 0 and its active and non active behaviour.

Hint, Hint

By the way, have been making some really sharp images, hope to have some up for viewing soon.

All the best
