randomize hotspot position

Hi,
I wanted to use a timer to randomly set the position of a hotspot, but not sure which placeholders to use and how to control them. I am guessing I can set timer action on Activate/Deactivate to Set Value of the hotspot's $hat and $hap, but not sure how to put them together. Set Value might be a wrong method, too.
Any idea? Is this even achievable without going through Javascript API?
