comprehension question to size of pinned pictures

hallo,
i have a picture which has in real a size of 115x165 cm.
when i pin the paintings i can give in the measurements and get the right proportion - thats good!
but when i enlarge or reduce them with the mouse the values dont´change. they stay at 115x165 equal how big the picture is.
It is quite clear to me that i can not give in the real measurements , because the programm did not know how high the wall is... and i try a workaround with dimensioning on the wall to get the right size.
but i do not understand the relationship between the size of the jpg-pic, which is 3060x4349px, the values in the programm 115x165, and the pinned size on the panorama.
