gallery solution for customer releases a trigger

hello,
i make virtual galleries. real virtuell and virtuell virtuell (haha!), like this:

the funktionality is, that you can click on the pics get infos, change location and so on..
my thought is now that i am looking for a solution that the artist, owner of the galerie can autonomous release a trigger , that a picture is sold.
the best would be that the picture gets a small red dot and in the info-box is typed "sold".
but i think that with the green dot is impossible to implement in the moment. but maybe there is a solution to make vissible a text in the information box on the base of javascript or so?
if someone has hints or put me on the right trail it would be great.
