I am building something similar to this url removed because of some reasons
A video character has to be shown . How easy or hard is it to add this?
What video format is best for this purpose?

Hi,
The example is using WebM video, it can have an alpha channel but is limited as not all mainstream browsers support it.
As an example in Safari on the mac, you see a grey border around the video and it does not play.
Chrome and Firefox play it ok.
This said we have seen some information bouncing around that Apple may support this at some point.

For now have a look at the embedded video tutorials: https://ggnome.com/doc/embed-video/
This is better as it's cross-platform and uses MP4.

Also as a tip, the 3D distorted point hotspots are placed on the ground, so when you click them the panorama zooms towards them.
I would use the Effects Setting, Zoom In To Centre, this way you zoom forward and not down and forward.
Regards,

one more question related to this. should the video be shot on normal camera or 360 camera?
Thanks in advance

Normal lens would be better as you embed the video as a normal 2D video.
But if you shoot the video with a fisheye lens make sure it’s from the center so it has distortion.
