Here is our first attempt at 360° video tour of a spectacular walking trail in Perth, WA Australia.

Very informative.
How did you encode your videos?
Not sure if you have already used it but If you use HandBrake this has a web optimised setting.
What this does is allow the video to start sooner while streaming.
This may cut down the wait time between nodes before the video starts playing.
But that said once I stopped looking at the technical aspects of the project and got into the tour this wait time dissolved into the background and was not an issue.
What you can also experiment with is the seek bar can have actions Activate and Deactivate, so it should be possible while the video is not playing, so Deactivated to show a loading message, once enough video has been streamed and starts playing, its activated which can then hide the message.
