Optimal input image size

Hi,
Mostly I use multiresolution with these settings: auto, tile 510, 1px overlap. Among the tiles there are many small "cutoffs" and I am finding a formula, how to calculate the optimal equi sizes for auto tile settings.
As a result, I would like to get all the tiles 512px, without cutoffs.
I learned by trial and error that equi 12820x6410 is one of these ideal sizes, it is cut into 511 identical tiles.
But I often use bigger panoramas up to 1 gigapixel, and by now I was not able to calculate the next "ideal" equi sizes.
