External CSS file not downloaded

Hi,
I've been looking around the forum but I don't seem to find a comment to the problem I'm experiencing.
I've created a virtual tour using the Drupal 7 plugin. The project uses an external CSS file for class definition and fonts.
It works perfectly when run on the local machine. You can see, in the HTML body a link to the right CSS file.
The problem arises when the package is uploaded to the Drupal server. Everything works except for some styles and the missing fonts.
After examining the received traffic, all references to the External CSS file are gone.
Any help would be appreciated as the customer is waiting for the demo.
