Hi!

I've doing simple flash panoramas for quite some time but would like to find a tutorial or get some information to make a more complex one with the following features:
- several panoramas linked together with hotspots and a floor map
- drop down list with all the panoramas (e.g kitchen, entrance, bedroom1...) for easier navigation if do not want to use the hotspots

Basically I want to create a real estate virtual tour that I will embedd at a later stage into an html page (with product description, maps, price...)
I'm not too sure if Pano2VR can do it... And I do not have any flash skills...

Thanks for your help!

I know how to use the search function... But this post does not explain anything about the floor plan integration (where is the image of the floor plan stored, how do you add hotspots to this plan...).
As I mentioned before I'm an IT guy and won't guess by myself. But I'll add some questions to this post by HopkiMedia.

Hi bemol73,
If you follow the link posted in response to your first message by hum@no.id, viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1107 you will see that I have posted the floor plan file at the end of the thread. The .ggsk file is just a zip, download and copy the file and then rename the copied file extension to .zip.

The zip file will contain all the graphics used in making it. Open a Pano2VR project and open my Mora Black Skin.ggsk skin file. You should see the values I used on the graphics to make them do what they do.

Have a look at my gallery page on my website; www.hopkimedia.co.uk even got one of the Falaise Pocket museum over your way.

My latest floor plan was for warehouses under the commercial button, for this, I made one skin then copied it and renamed it for each location. I then added a “you are here” pointer to each. It does not take to long to do and adds that bit more to the finished product.

I have just finished one for a load of science labs which had 20 rooms! Looks good.

This can be found on my address to view website, http://www.addresstoview.com/ksp and its building 1100.

To make a floor plan I scan in a copy of the sites floor plan from the customer then trace it in Photoshop. Doing this you can make the floor plan file size much smaller and keep it basic.
I also use Photoshop to draw the buttons, I tend to only make UP and Click states. I set the alpha channel to .7, making the button translucent and then on hover set it to 1, a solid.
As a tip, I am starting to set the buttons to not visible until loaded, I do this because some times the buttons don’t load altogether which looks a bit wrong. This way when the pano has loaded all the buttons appear at the same time.

Hoped this helped. :)
Kind regards
Hopki

Hi Hopki,

Thanks a lot for your explanation, I should now be able to produce what I wanted to.
By the way I like your idea about addresstoview!

Hi bemol73,
Thanks for the heads up on addresstoview.com, it’s a new idea to help people try and sell their homes or business premises, needs more work as the addresstoview.com website is very basic, it works, but needs a bit more sparkle. :D
Cheers Hopki

Hi Hopki, nice idea with the site. I like the special effects one as it looks very much like Maldon along by the river! Is it?
Some nice views and pubs there, if it is.

Cheers, John Goulding.
Kind regards,

Hi John,
You may get this twice, I thought I sent it as a private message, but its still sitting in my forum out box.
Yes its Maldon Quay Side, if you look at the Panos, Places of Interest, you will see a full colour version. Also if you look on the 360 page and under Branded you will see a pano of inside the Prom.

You a local lad?
