Hi Ulli,
It is up to the browser how they deal with PDF's and mobiles are not good.
Desktops seem to work as expected. Android wants to download while iOS and iPadOS just show one page.
The next major release has a working solution but for now, whatever you try seems to break on one device or another, as an example I have a solution working on mobile phones and desktops, but the iPad breaks it.
The iPad is a mobile device that uses the desktop browser.
The project is attached if you want to do a bit more digging.
