Hi, I'm new here. Can someone tell me if point hotspots are supported in Quicktime output ? I need to create QuickTime .mov files but can only get the "Area" hotspots to work. I can create the point hotspots and modify them with no problem, but they don't show up when the output format is QT. It all works fine when the output is set to flash, but I have a design restriction that dictates the output is in Apple QuickTime format. I am running Pano2VR 2.2.3 and Quicktime 7.6 :(

Hi and welcome the forums.

Point hotspots cannot be added to a QT movie. This is a limitation of QT.

Hi

Why Quick time?

Flash produces
- smaller files = faster loading
- smoother moving
- better quality
- mouse wheel support
- keyboard support
- penetration - more ppl have flash installed than quick time
- if not installed, installation is faster than QuickTime (QuickTime has heavier installer)
- better versatility with skins, own buttons, preloader, etc.

This THE Religion !

HRvoje is not 100% right.
QT has still unbeatable quality and the smallest filesize.
It is standard on MACs.
Flash is available for much more platforms and the Flash 10 quality is
really great - but larger filesize still.

I can understand panographers that are still using QT- I supply QT in my gallery too.
And since all plugins (nearly all) are available, one can easily compare them.
Flash is available only for the newer panos though (since 5/2009).

Creating a complex tour for QT would result in DevalVR or KRPano I guess.
