Hi everyone,
Would love any thoughts and feedback you might have on the tour I just released, and will be adding nodes to in the days to come.
This is a tour of a fairly remote, culturally rich, stunningly beautiful part of Nepal, starting in Kathmandu, heading then to Tumlingtar, through Bhojpur and to Silichong Peak, then continuing up to Mahakulung and currently ending at the Muddhi Khola in the Hunku Valley. In the days/weeks to come, I will add nodes to continue the virtual trek up the Hunku Khola to the Amphu Laptsa pass and into the Khumbu, eventually to Everest Basecamp.
I tried to build this tour to focus not just on beautiful scenery, but also on the rich culture and history of the region. Had some glitches in the skin at first, but it now seems to be working fairly well both on desktop and mobile. Would love to get your thoughts, good, bad, and indifferent.

I also plan to embed the tour in a dedicated page outside of my blog so it may function a bit better, especially on mobile.
Thanks, and best to all,
Nepal Himalaya tour

If anyone is interested, I was able to get the tour on its own page, here: https://jakenorton.com/muddhi-memories-tour/
Hi Jake,
When I open the link on my MacBook Pro, the tours viewport is to heigh, 1214 x 900px, so I cannot see the full height due to its aspect ratio.
Try something like 1200 x 675px (16:9)
For the Image Point Hotspots, I see some are over 2k width.
If you want the images to open on mobiles then try and keep images 1024px and below on the longest edge.
This can cause mobile browsers to crash, when this happens the person viewing the tour may get an error message or the tour restarts.
But looking good.
Regards,

Thanks for all this feedback, Hopki - much appreciated!
On the viewport size, sorry for my ignorance, but is this set in the embed code, or in the HTML output from Pano2VR?
And, on the hotspot images, what is the most efficient means of changing those? If I batch resize them in their folder, overwriting the originals, and then re-export the tour, will that automatically update all the images to the new, 1024px images?
Thanks again for the feedback!

Hi Jake,
The height of the tour in the web page is 900px.
I really have to stretch my browser vertically to be able to get it all in.
Maybe try height 800px
I was referring to the images that the Image Point Hotspots open.
You need to be mindful of the image size.
At one point Apple was saying do not go above 1024px in the longest edge.
We tested some cheaper Android phones and 800px was the sweet spot.
If the images are too large in the px size, this can crash the mobile browser.
Note, this is not file size, this is dimensions.

Thanks much, Hopki! Sorry it's been a while, but implemented your suggestions, made a lot of other changes, and I think it's working well now. Now time to make more updates and add more nodes. Thanks again!
