Rotate Flat "Panorama" Image

I want to insert a few normal jpg images I took off an iphone into my panorama. The current problem I have is that when I I insert the panoramas they appear rotated. With 360 photos I have used the pan and tilt setting to rotate images but these don't seem to work for flat images. Is there a simply way to rotate flat images 90 degree so they appear correct? I have also tried rotating the image file and resaving it before uploading but that also didn't change anything.

try feeding them into ptgui first?

Hi,
The orientation is saved in the image.
Open in a photo editor, rotate to the correct orientation and then save.
