Hello,
I would like to allow the visitor to save a PDF file.
What would be the correct method to add this function?
[RESOLVED] PDF save button
Hi Serge,
If you are using the V7 version "Add PDF Document" function then under the Print button on the PDF reader there will be an option to Save as PDF
If you are using a browser built-in PDF viewer, similar to the one shown in my tutorial Auto Resizing PDF in a Hotspot Popup https://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr/auto-re ... in-a-popup then you should have a Download button visible in the main bar.
Alternatively you can make a text button and use html inside it. <a href ="media/Bio_2021.pdf" attributes-list download > Download the PDF </a>
cheers,
Tony

Hello Tony,
To begin, I would like to thank you for your involvement and for your help, which you offer us with great interest.
I attached a PDF file with the "Add PDF Document" function and I don't see the download button. You can see the image below. I tried with several browsers, firefox, chrome, edge and on apple safari and still no download button.
I can download the file if I add an image and add an action:
Source: mouse click
Action: go to url
URL: media/my_file.pdf
I can download the file but would prefer to allow the ability to download or print the file.
I wonder if there is a problem with the "Add PDF Document" function.

Hi Serge,
Different OS and browsers may show different interfaces. Here's your link on an iMac in Chrome.
1. Landscape Aspect ratio: After clicking on the >> the Print button is on the top menu bar (right) or it can be in the dropdown menu. Don't ask why it does that!!
2. Click on the Print button as an option you have Save to PDF
3. Portrait Aspect ratio: After clicking on the >> the Print button is in the dropdown menu
4. Click on the Print button as an option you have Save to PDF
