Hi all!
Has anyone already successfully inserted an external Object2VR Flash object movie into a Pano2VR Flash VR-panorama?
We know now that we can use ordinary Flash files, and that Pano2VR-generated pano 'thumbnails' don't work inside larger Flash panos, but what about those object movies?
It shouldn't be too hard to imagine what nice things you could do with such a combination, and I think I remember someone asking questions about this earlier.
I am considering buying an Object2VR licence just for this purpose, but it would be nice to know if this would work in advance : )

Cheers!

Erik,

I have tested and it doesn't work. I get all sorts of errors in debug mode. Although less errors with Flash 8 output. Still it doesn't show.

Thanks for testing Smooth!
That's a real shame though : (

I was thinking of doing some experiments with the Flash8 ObjectVR output from Pano2QTVR, you never know if those have a different, perhaps more compatible structure.

I can say pretty confidently that, that won't work either.
I have gone through this before..... It has to do with the way the Flash is compiled and what is set as the root.

But, have a play and let us know how you get on.

I'm sure Thomas "can" make it all compatible and most likely will into the future.

There's no point in wasting any more time on it then.
Let's hope it is on Thomas' 'To Do' list.

What do you think, was it a confident wink, or more a nervous twitch of an eye?

Both ;). Its on the todo and I hope this will work in 6-8 weeks or so when I make a proper SWF integration into the skin. My schedule stretched out a bit because some personal matters, originally I wanted this to be done already.

Now 10 years have gone by and i have the same question: Can i combine Object2VR V3 output with Pano2VR v6 tours? As both use the same skin this should be possible, isn't it?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Hi Mark,
Have a look at this project: https://support.ggno.me/forum_projects/bbq/
The Robot with a transparent background on the table.
I will try and dig out the project, its in the office.

Hi,
One skin as promised.
Note the iframe that displays the object, it has: allowTransparency="true"

When making the object, you have to use PNGs with transparent backgrounds and you can not use multi-resolution.
Under the HTML5 output, I deselected the Background.
I also set the HTML page to fullscreen, this is actually full browser window.

When the object was exported you have to edit the HTML page.
You're looking for the body tag:
<body style="background-color: transparent;">
Then the object will display with a transparent background in the panorama.
Regards,
Hopki

Thank you Martin. My object has no transparent background and it's not planned to edit all the frames. I hope this workd also without transparency...
