Hi there,
With Google Street Views, there's a cost involved with the API (cost per x views). I was wondering how virtual tour businesses typically deal with this variable cost?
Through Pano2VR, if you upload a customer's Street View via your own Google account, and it gets a lot of traffic, the VT business could potentially get hit with high costs. Especially if you have multiple Street Views under your Google Account.
Is the typical solution to get the customer to set up/use their own Google Account with their own API billing? Problem is, I doubt many customers will find this an easy process.
Are they any better alternatives?
Many thanks,
Marc

Hi Marc,
Once you have made the tour and uploaded it to Street View no other costs are involved.
So you can add any charges to the build cost to your customer.
Of course, not forgetting you get $200.00 a month credit from Google.
Regards,

Hi Hopki - thanks for getting back to me.
Reason I ask, is the pricing information found on:
https://mapsplatform.google.com/pricing
... and I thought the prices were referring to the number of times the "uploaded" virtual tour was viewed.
However, after listening to a couple of your Google Street View webinars, I now understand (I think), the API's are purely needed for Pano2VR to interact with Google's services to build and upload the tour. So, as you say, once uploaded there are no ongoing costs to anyone. Have I got that correct ?
Thanks for your help,
Marc
