I was shocked that the new updated MS 10 Edge on 2-19-2021 is now unable to run local code files located in the “output” folder.
index.html. Gets the dreaded Black Screen with only HotSpot arrows showing. Previous to this Edge worked fine. Same issue with Chrome and Firefox. Please do not let this happen as I have 4 years of work relying on Clients being able to view on Edge as the replacement for IE.

Hi Darryl,
This is the new normal.
Pano2VR has it's built-in web server so you can see the output using Pano2VR.
You can use our free desktop app, https://ggnome.com/ggpkgviewer/
But of course, once uploaded the files are no longer local and will open.

Thanks Hopki for quick response. As Licensed User I do see pano tours on my computer with Pano2vr open. That's not what I'm worried about. It's the hundreds of Clients that don't have the desktop app that I rely on compatible HTML output to work on Browsers. They have no avenue to load a third party .exe program on their computers. I don't offer web access as my pano tours contain FOUO content and can only be accessed from common secure networks containing the local files. Besides... GGnome's HTML-5 output formats are advertised to work on Browsers. So I'm really asking again...what is going to be a solution other than a separate loaded desktop app or Web option? Who makes the fix...Pano2Vr or MS Edge?

Tony
It's purely a MS Edge issue and I pretty sure there is nothing Pano2VR can do. Here's a thread I found that has some solutions along with a lot of angst.Who makes the fix...Pano2Vr or MS Edge?

Hi Darryl,
There is a big difference between working online and locally.
Online the HTML5 output will open in most browsers.
But browsers have local file restrictions which prevent the HTML file from being opened from the output folder directly.
You can modify the browser to remove the local restriction but of course, only affects the browser that has had its settings edited.
You also have the option to supply your customer the tour built into an app, please see this page: https://ggnome.com/doc/tip-desktop-app/
So the choices are:
• Host the file and send a link
• Your customer Hosts the tour, your customer does not need to make the link public
• Use the Package Viewer
• Use the Desktop App
• Edit the browsers settings, how to do this can be found on our FAQ page: https://ggnome.com/faqs/
