G'Day,

I would like to have an action trigger "Visibility Media" when an element is centered on the screen or close enough like when something is "In Focus".

I can trigger this using other options such as Mouse Clicks, Mouse Overs, etc, but I want this to happen when the element is front and center to the user and just by having the user pan around the screen until it is in "focus".

What would be the best way to achieve this?

Looked at all Action Sources to trigger this and can't find one that will do the trick.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi Carlos,

You need to use the pan angle in a logic block to set the visibility. Here's a post by Hopki:

You can also see how you use pan/tilt to changing color and size in my tutorial:

You can also see it in this project that I built the skin for:

Hi Tony,

Yes, I can use the Pan as the trigger, but I was trying to avoid having to define a value for each Hotspot.

I'm actually trying to trigger Visibility on several Polygon Hotspots without having to define a Pan range for each Polygon Hotspot.

What would be really useful would be to have a function like "Focus" or whatever the Gnomes want to call it, that basically would trigger a Polygon Hotspot to make it Visible when it's in the center of the screen. That function doesn't exist right now apparently, but it is greatly needed.

I can achieve that with Pan, and I guess it is what I'll end up doing as it doesn't look like a workaround is available, but that means I'll have to define a Pan range for each Polygon Hotspot in the Skin!

But anyway, much appreciated by your prompt reply and it's great to have you pointing out there's a way to do it regardless.

Cheers Mate.

Hi Carlos,

Hopki has indicated that a more streamlined method of implementing this type of function will be part of Version 7.

cheers,

Tony

Hi Carlos, hi Tony

Same here,
I'd like to create Hotspots similar like this project: https://ottopix.de/vr/stadtrundgang-magdeburg.html
Would be great to implement this.

Is there a version 7 in pipeline?

Hi,
V7 is in development, I can not say at this point when we will see the first beta but I know there is a lot to do so no time soon.
