Hi there,

Strange occurrence for the past few days. I'm not seeing any of the four Google options when I select them in the Tour Maps dropdown.

I used to use satellite to pinpoint where tour nodes were but the page is plank apart from the blue markers. If I select World Map or World Map Topo it shows fine - any ideas?

Restarted software and on mac

Hi Jono,

I'm on an iMac, OS Catalina, Version 10.15.4 running Pano2VR 6.1.8 and I'm not seeing the issue you have reported. Unfortunately aside from reinstalling the software, I'm not sure what you can do.

I've re-installed the software. Restarted Mac, Even gone into Terminal and shown hidden files and removed those before re-installing. Still the same blank Google map!

Hi,

I thought you could get the map to open! But you can see the map but nothing in it. Do you have the GPS coordinates and I'll take a look at the location on my system.

Hi Tony, It's not with just one tour or photo - it's everything?

Hi
When you first open Panp2VR do you see the news feed in the welcome screen?

If not then Pano2V has no access to the internet, change firewalls or any security preventing Pano2VR to access the web.

Hello,

yep, the news feed shows and it connects to my Google Streetview account and shows photos number and views etc.

I have just installed the latest version and have given it full access in Firewall but still the same?

Hi Jono,

Did you manage to resolve this issue... because I seem to be experiencing it as well.. but under Windows (not Mac).

Whenever I try to view any of the 4 Google maps in the Tour Map window, I get an "oops something went wrong" error ... although both World Map options show up OK.
The problem occurs on New tours (before anything is even opened or any nodes are added).. or existing Tours (which used to work OK)
In addition, If I try to search for an Address (no matter which map type is selected), I get a "Request Denied" error...
I also can't select or search for a Place in the Google Street view window (no error... just nothing happens)

I believe that that it was working OK a couple of weeks ago, since the latest update (to 6.1.8) - but may be wrong... IO have tried reinstalling current and older versions (back to 6.1.3) but no change in the issue.

Anyone else having problems ??

Are you using your own API key? If so, try removing it and restarting Pano2VR...

It could the cause of a bad key or invalid payment method...

Thanks k.ary.n ... That seems to have done the trick,

The API key I was using had previously worked... but removing it and reloading PANO2VR has resolved the problem with the Tour Map Window and also selecting the location for StreetView.
I will experiment with a new API Key :D

We have seen a few times now API key just stop working.
Delete the key and generate a new one.
Also, make sure you have a valid payment method linked to your Google account.
If you don't then the API key will not work.

I'm afraid I am still having issues with this. The Map is grey and shows the node markers across it.

I have re-created a new API, I have followed the guide here: https://ggnome.com/doc/google-api/
I have a payment account linked to the project.

I have selected the API's as in the guide:
Maps JavaScript API
Places API
Geocoding API

Any other ideas?

Hi,
Change Map providers in Pano2VR Settings/Preferences.
This is found under the Images tab, the default is World Map, try changing it to one of the Google Maps.
It could be a problem with the map provider in your country or they don't have tiles for that area/resolution.
Also, do you have any firewalls blocking the map?
Try it and let me know.

Thanks for your reply. I am in the UK and have no firewall blocking. Google is fine on browsers etc.

The area is well covered in Google maps as I'm in a major city. I have got this error. It is saying resource exhausted but I only set the replacement API up yesterday.
