Hi all, been using Pano2VR for a while now, and have a question that someone will hopefully be able to answer. I'd like to know if it's possible to have multiple layers in a pano? So in theory there could be a button which turns on an overlay highlighting a specific area, without linking to a different Pano. If anyone has any thoughts then please let me know, and if anyone needs any more of a description then let me know and I'll sort out some screenshots.
Cheers.

You should look at the point hotspots tutorials, while I'm sure there are probably better ways to accomplish what you are looking for, you could do this via point hotspot templates. Think of the pink 'X" as your highlight image and control the alpha to the degree you need.

It's a good idea, and is currently the method I'm testing out. Seems to be working out fine, but the complications come about when I have 5 or 6 items which need highlighting on each cube face. I think it's possible and is kind of working, just a lot more work than I'd like! haha!

Ok, so I've made a little progress with this, and have another question. I've added an extra button on my skin which links to another Panorama of a faded version of the current panorama. However I need to find a way to make the button change its function depending on which Panorama it is on. So in theory t will show an alternative version for whichever Pano I am viewing, is this possible?

I think this will do what you need, see the third tutorial on point hotspots, note the relation to ID in the template to Skin-ID in the pano point hotspot and how that is used.
Good Luck,

Are you able to accomplish this? I've tried it, it doesn't work. Apparently you can't use another button to control the opacity level of the hotspot template. So in theory there could be a button which turns on an overlay highlighting a specific area, without linking to a different Pano.

This will be possible with beta3.makiedog wrote: Are you able to accomplish this? I've tried it, it doesn't work. Apparently you can't use another button to control the opacity level of the hotspot template.

Any idea when beta 3 is released? I'll be holding off on publishing a virtual tour, waiting for this functionality:)

I didn't get it to work as such, I ended up creating a new Pano with a faded background and all that I wanted visible in the foreground, I then added a button on the skin which switched between the two different Panos. A decent enough workaround, but lets see what Beta3 holds for us!makiedog wrote:Are you able to accomplish this? I've tried it, it doesn't work. Hello Alan!
Was it something like this you asked for? Spin to the ruin and a outline drawing appears in the picture:

I have already asked for this pretty long ago, I often use it in mine old plain flashpanos, and was told it should come in some version, so now I just hook on to your thread, hoping our request lead to something, if we ask for the same thing(?).
(sorry for the language, english is not my 1:st language)
Regards Jochum
