Would be nice if a Polygon hotspot could also display either an Image, Video, or Info. I suspect there is a workaround in the skin with actions, but I can't figure it out :(

And I second the request to be able to change the width of the polygon border (and line style?)

Hi,

Check out my Polygon Hotspots & Information Popups tutorial at https://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr/polygon-hotspots-proxy

Using Point Hotspots to deliver contextual content is a great way to make your Virtual Reality tours more interactive and provide an enhanced experience for the viewer. However a point hotspot is as its name implies a ‘point’ and in some projects you may want to highlight and identify particular objects by their shape.

You can use Polygon Hotspots to define an area (rather than a single point) of interactivity but still use all the interactivity of a Point Hotspot. In the tutorial I’ve created polygon hotspots for the engine and tail of an old C35 - Skytrooper plane. When you mouseover the two Polygon Hotspot areas in the panorama, they are highlighted and show a tooltip. Clicking on the hotspot opens an information window with content relevant to the selection. Alternatively you could open an Image or Video.

Thanks for that, could be just what I'm looking for. Will give it a try later.

Update: Yes thank you, a very useful tutorial.

The lesson is good, but outdated. So is the video https://youtu.be/4m9zvvrsHV8?t=972 Here everything is based on version 6 of the program. In version 7, there is no "Information popup" in the component library anymore. Can you tell me how to add info popups using feather_box and material_index skins as examples?
Windows 11 22H2, Pano2vr 7.0.7 64bit, Object2vr pro 3.1.10 64bit, Object2vr4.0beta 64bit

Thanks for the feedback. FYI I'm pretty sure it still works in V7 :-)

You can add those components to your component library by downloading the Silhouette and Simplex components from viewtopic.php?t=11600

Hi Guys,
Pano2VR 6 compinents for Pano2VR 7, see: viewtopic.php?p=70898#p70898
For using Polygon Hotspots to open popups see: viewtopic.php?p=59205#p59205
About a third way down the list are posts on how to use web popups with iframe, video and image popups with polygon hotspots.
From there, you should be able to work out how to make an information popup work with a polygon hotspot as well.
