Hi all,

Currently working on a tour that has a little fullscreen niggle. Hoping for a work-around or solution.

Tour consists of an index html page, that links to 6 separate index.html pages contains the various tours. All embedded in an iframe on the clients site. On Chrome (and i presume, edge and IE) when you click fullscreen in a tour, then click on 'back to contents' to return to the index page, then click on another tour, then try and exit out of full screen, the user has to click twice. The tour seems to think it's not in fullscreen, hence needing 2 clicks. I've tried a single action (toggle fullscreen) and also tried two actions, one for exit fullscreen and one for enter fullscreen, with a logic block to display the relevant action dependant on full screen setting. Nothing seems to work. When switching tours and staying in fullscreen setting, it seems to forget its in fullscreen.

Also, despite the fact i've set the scroll as scroll up for zoom in, and scroll down for zoom out, the client is experiencing the reverse. Do certain browsers and/or systems see scroll differently?

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

Hi,

The issue with the double click comes from the fact that you have initiated fullscreen mode in one tour eg Prep and Pre-prep but when you go back to the contents and open another tour eg Facilities it's opening that tour in a window that is already fullscreen. So your first click on the Fullscreen button in the Facilities tour it's initiating the fullscreen mode (you don't notice it because the underlying window is already fullscreen) and then the second click is actually closing the fullscreen.

If you had a fullscreen button that showed an open and close state you would see that the button in the Prep and Pre-prep would change to a close state but the button in the Facilities tour would show the open state.

Scrolling seems fine to me Chrome Version 79.0.3945.88 on iMac Mojave.

Hi,

Is there a specific reason to have individual index pages?

Hi,

I've made a quick project based on your workflow/structure with a Fullscreen button that has open/close state, so you can see the result.

Note: the issue only happens when you have your tour embedded in an iFrame.

I've also created another version that uses a universal skin containing the Fullscreen and Contents button but loads the individual index files into an iFrame. This way we know the status of the fullscreen regardless of the underlying page. It's on the same page as above.

I've just made an update to include multiple nodes in the second tour and a skin that allows you to move between the nodes. So in effect we have two different skins running at the same time. The first is the universal skin and the second is the Second Tour skin

Fantastic replies Tony, much appreciated. The reason for the separate index page was to make it a little simpler to create, and also have the separate school tours available for separate embedding. Hadn't thought about the fullscreen issue however.

Loved that 1989 interview clip you've got on your website by the way, what a great bit of digital history!

Hi,

No problem. Using the frame allows you to use the individual projects you have already made. I’ll write up a description and upload the skin.

So basically all you have to do is put the full screen buttons, the contents button and iframe on the base project and just load the other projects via the iframe.

1989..,that was a while ago. Much younger then and more hair!!
