I am on the pro trial version and before making a purchase I need to know its fit for purpose.

The sound hotspots work in terms of playing in the background when I open the scene but I cant seem to add a sound hotspot that:

1. gives the yellow area sound
2. gives a hotspot that plays only when you click on it

I would also be interested in adding sound to an info hotspot but I cant seem to find this function.

Is it me????

Hi,
Please have a look at this page: https://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/6/sounds-add/
This should answer your questions.
This was found by using the search on our website, make sure you select Documentation so you are searching in the right place.

Thanks for responding

That still wont work for me, is it because I am in trial mode?

I still cant see any colour coded areas for directional sound etc.

maybe my brain is just not computing the instructions here.

:( :x :(

I've dragged a sound file into the viewer, change the parameter to rectangular, circular etc but still no colour coded area appears.

Hi,
Make sure when you drag in the MP3.it is dest to one of the directional sound modes.
Then make sure the sound field is more than 0.

Then it should look something like this.

Can you do a screenshot of your settings?

Only difference I can see is mine doesn't have vertical size. You can see my hotspot to the right, this has been dragged in.

Hi,
Thank you for the files.
I have managed to reproduce this in the office.
Although you do not see the yellow sound field the directional audio works as it should.
I will bug track the fact the there is no yellow sound field on a Windows computer.
Can you tell me which graphics card you have?

Hopki

I think the Card is integrated with the mother board. More interesting is knowing which Driver set is being used. Driver is openGL 4.4
I think but what other driver components in the driver set?

I'm afraid I didn't understand a word of that. Your tech knowledge is clearly way above mine.

I was hoping to commit to purchase but will hold off until this is resolved.

Hi APhillips,
Meaning this may be down to the graphics card/graphics driver in your computer.
This does not stop the feature working, but you do not have any graphical representation of the sound field in the viewer.

When testing this in the office we do not see the issue, however, when I look at this on my little Surface Go which has the same Intel HD graphics as you do, I do not see the yellow sound field either. The assumption here is it could be down to the graphics card/driver.

So although it will not stop the feature from working, it will not look as nice.
As said I have reported this in a bug report and we will be looking at it.

Hi, is there any further update on this graphic issue?.

Also, playing sound in a panorama, is it possible for the sound to stop/start when a hotspot is selected?.

I have a video hotspot and the background sound continues to play while the video is playing. Obviously this is distracting to the video content. Hope that makes sense.
