Hi, I have sucessfully compiled a project with 444 nodes but when I uploaded it to the server the script doesn't load the pano.xml (size 2017 KB).
When I lower the number of nodes to e.g. 439 with the same skin than it works fine.
Example: https://www.burger.si/France/360/2006/France.html

A bad upload to server or there is a node number limit?

(will compile with full number of nodes and with clean upload again).

Hi Bostjan,
There is no limit within Pano2VR.
As you say upload again.
If you get the same problem please send a link to support so we can have a look.
If the tiles folder is uploaded and looks the same online as locally on your computer then no need to upload them again, just upload the XML file.

I couldn't figure it out but it must be something with the number with the nodes, not the size of the pano.xml.
I have quite a number of projects which are with larger xml file size but do load from my Ubuntu (apache) server... like: https://www.burger.si/WWI/360/index.html , https://www.burger.si/KSA/360/KSA.html or https://www.burger.si/Ljubljana/2018/2018.html ...and so on...
What I found is that more nodes means longer time to display the project, even the pano.xml's are smaler - the number is issue (seems so) ...until at 440 could not display the project from the server but does when compiled with the local one.

..actually the https://www.burger.si/France/360/2006/France.html does display but it needs to process quite a time ... enought that nobody wan't to wait ( ~ 5 min. ??). ... so I suppose that the number of nodes is issue (?) - I intend to join smaller projects even in larger one - about 2000 nodes (maybe more) but will wait until I figure out the slow "node processing".

Hi Bostjan,
Looking at your project I see you have changed the size of the node image for the menu.
It is now 380 x 200px, Pano2VR doubles the size of the image for high DPI displays, so the standard node image size of 141 x 90px will produce a thumbnail image size of 282 x 180px.

To minimise the number of thumbnails created the Hotspot preview image and menu thumbnails are the same size and the same image is used by both hotspot and menu.

If you changed the size of the menu node image but not the hotspot preview then Pano2VR will have to make all the thumbnail images twice at the two different sizes.
The default size of 282 x 180px also comes in around 7KB per image. I sampled a few of your thumbnails and they are around 20KB.
With your number of nodes, this makes for a lot of downloading.

But apart from all this, the other thing that is puzzling me is why am I downloading all the thumbnail images?
I should only be downloading the visible thumbnails in the menu on open, so for https://www.burger.si/France/360/2006/France.html

It should only be 6 images and why it does not display the opened node.
Can you send in your skin to support with a link to this post?

ok... I just send you the file.
I changed the size of node images because the default were to small for my screen. I didn't know that the change has an impact on the loading time.

Hi Bostjan,
I would say they would make some sort of impact as they are around 13KB larger for each image.
But the main concern is why am I downloading all the thumbnail images!
Also, make sure you change the size of the hotspot preview image so they match and only produce one set of thumbnails that will be used in both hotspots and the menu.
Need to have a look.

The node image in my skin was 190x128, so you suggest to go back to 141 x 90?
