Patches Not Working As Expected

Hi,

Either I am going bonkers or I am noticing after the most recent update that patches have not been acting as expected. I use to be able to create a patch, extract it as a PSD or whatever format (aside from jpeg) and then edit it in PS, save the file and Voila! The image would be added as a patch.

This is not always the case.
  • Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
  • Sometimes I have to convert it to a jpeg patch and that will work, sometimes it does not.
  • Sometimes the jpeg patch will show however the patch is nothing but a blurry mess.
  • Sometimes the only way to get the patch to work is to convert the patch to a pinned image.
  • Sometimes the patch is not even the right patch and has been replaced by an entirely different patch. Not sure how that would work
Is anyone else having this issue or something similar or is it just me?

Thanks!

Here is a video showing that the PSD will not work and that the patch has to be converted to jpeg. After the video, I deleted the patch, created another one using PSD, extracted, edited, saved and VOILA! It magically worked this time.

And here is a video showing a completely wrong patch showing up instead of the correct one:

When I was doing my last tour I noticed that there were a lot of instances when the tour was loading from a cached version from a browser cache and it did not reflect my last changes.

Have you tried to press and hold Ctrl button and press F5 at the same time after tour is loaded into a browser? It directs a browser to reload a tour ignoring a local cached version and loading all files from a web server.

I had some issues like you describe it. Old, already deleted patches were shown when in created a new patch wich had the same automatic given number. Solution was to delete the local cached files in the folder C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\Local\Temp\ggimage_temp.XXXXXXXXX
You can find the path when you look at File>Settings and go to the tab "File" in Pano2VR
