Can we do this kind of 3d transition effect in Pano2R? - https://krpano.com/releases/1.20/viewer ... r/main.xml

Any Pano2VR tutorial would be helpful.

@THOMAS: PLEASE try to... and do it even better than Klaus, I know you can ;-))
OR do we need some "Depthmap" data therefore, instead of "usual" bitmap panos...??

Yes, you need a depth map along with the image to do this. It's on the todo list, but this will not happen soon.

Hello, i'm sure you will not give us an half-baked solution like this everpano-thing.

Anything new on this subject?
Got a clients request on this, he saw it on a matterport site.

Same here, clients ask for this effect and i don’t want to switch the Great Pano2Vr.
Any news?
Thanks, René

Hi, I would also be interested to know if their are any plans for (the already great) Pano2vr to implement the same matterport/everpano/metareal 3D transition types? My feeling is that these transitions really make the difference in term of user experience...
I’ve been looking at these for quite a while now, and would love to hear that this is still in the development plans of Pano2vr... is that something that you dev guys still have in mind? Does this require 3D modeling as is is done within everpano or meta real?

Thanks for any info on that.

I am also interested in this function, but I am glad to see it has been a topic of discussion for some time. I am still new to Pano but have been wondering about this kind of transition since I have seen it on other 360 tours.

One of the most important feature for us too !
Is this already in progress to integrate this into pano2vr?

Hi,
There are many ongoing developments but as Thomas said above this will not happen soon.
Also as much as people say they would like this type of transition, I also get comments like visually this is bad, the transition is causing the panorama to fall apart. So this is something that really needs to improve in my opinion.

If you shoot the nodes close together like what is needed with the 3d transitions, using Pano2VR's current zoom in before and zoom in after effects you do get a sense of moving forward without the scene falling apart.

But of course, the distance between nodes becomes more important.
I am not trashing it, I would like to have this in Pano2VR as much as anyone else, but it needs to look far better than what the examples show.

hard to say for me. after the first wow-effect it looses some of its significance for me.
maybe in vr it will play a major role. and not to forget, making much more pictures per room.

but shure, nice to have, in any way...

I also believe that these transitions need to be improved. The other day I was looking for this kind of transitions because many clients are attracted by this kind of transitions and dollhouses and I found this.
I think it's brilliant

Transition could get an upgrade. Especially with MatterPort and KrPano have great transitions!
