I can import panoramas into Pano2VR, orientate north, and then link them together. Can I subsequently edit the original images on my hard disk, and will Pano2VR use the edited versions automatically, or does it work on copies of the original images. Presumably I have to keep the original file names the same.

Hi,
As long as you have not moved the images you can edit them and then open Pano2VR.
If Pano2VR was opened while you edited the images you may need to Right button click in the viewer and select Reload Image.
On publishing, you should see Pano2VR say remapping images.
If you don't then use the trashcan button and delete the output and republish.

Thanks for that. When you say "moved", do you mean:
  1. Moved the image files from one directory to another
  2. Moved and changed the order in the Tour Browser window
  3. Moved the pins on the tour map.

I think I can answer this myself now. After doing some testing, I find that if I edit an image on my hard drive that Pano2VR is using, then the software updates it automatically, as long as I keep the filename the same. I can move the image in Tour Browser, and on the Tour Map, without issue.

If I do change the filename, when I re-open the project, Pano2VR notices, and prompts me to select the new image.

Bingo!
Yes, I meant as long as you keep the image in the same location and file name.
You could also just use the patch tool if its to correct stitching errors etc.
