gyroscope control not working on some phones

Hi,

Last week I posted an issue with version 6 causing too many issues with my skin so I had to revert back to version 5. But now I'm having an issue with the gyroscope control not working on some phones. I have only tested it on newer iPhones. I double checked that gyroscope control is checked on, and it works on my phone.

Is this a known problem, and is there any way that you know of (possibly code) to insure that gyroscope controls work on all phones? Here's my site:

Recently both Apple and Android have put in security measures which means the gyroscope is blocked unless your hosting your tours on a secure server, https://

Your website shows...

So the gyro will not work you your website.
Contact your host provider and ask about secure servers.

Thanks Hopki,

I took care of making my site secure. Unfortunately, due to the recent iPhone security update, the gyroscope defaults to the off position on the phone. Users have to go into their settings and turn it on. This really sucks! Hopefully apple will address the concerns of the vr community and, at the very least, provide a popup window asking to turn the gyroscope on when necessary.

Hi Jesse,
You can make a popup in the skin editor, for example, have a text box show if:

The text box should be instructions on how to turn it on, example: Please select: Settings, Safari, Motion & Orientation.

On some smartphones the gyroscope does not work in virtual tours on pano2vr, although it works in other applications.

Hi,
For anyone following.
This came into the support e-mail. The website is not secure so the gyro will not work, but it did show https:// but both Safari and Firefox report the site is not secure, so no gyro.
