Hi All,
I have an .mov file that I would like to add to the skin. I have rendered the video as .mov animation with rgba + alpha. I can play the video with no issues using windows media player, vlc or any other player.....so the video works. However, when I add the video to pano2vr whether it be as a pinned video or a video within the skin, the video does not play.
Does anyone know if .mov with transparent back is a possibility within pano2vr?
Thanks!
How to get .MOV video to play?

What I am basically trying to do is to figure out how to add a tour guide such is in the image here:
I like how the person is overlaid onto the scene.- Hopki

Hi, Sorry,
Been a tad busy with the new release.
Green screen, would be nice to see it when you're done.
Regards,
Hopki

I take that back, I haven't figured anything out and am back at square 1.
Hi Hopki. I have a green screen and thought that I had found a work around but I am still in the same boat. Pano2vr, for whatever reason, is not able to show .mov videos either with or without alpha channel. I have tried throwing numerous codecs at it all with the same results. Pano2vr will play some of the audio but none of the actual video itself.
I spoke too soon.....sorry.

The best way to do this is to use embedded video.
Extract a patch and then add the video.
Please see: https://ggnome.com/2019/06/pano2vr-605- ... -tutorial/

Hi Hopki,
Thanks for your suggestion. I already know that tutorial and use the extract patch feature to add videos to static panos. This however doesn't work for a fixed transparent video guide in, for example, the right lower part of the screen.
Fortunately I already found out how to do it, that is using a transparent .webm video which nowadays plays in most browsers.
Best,
Roland

Hi Roland,
could you recommend any software to convert to .webm?
I did find a way to render this file format from Premiere / After Effects / Photoshop directly.
Many thanks

Hi Carolina!
You can use FFmpeg in the Terminal or you can use Pano2VR to convert.
It's an extra step in your case but should work to use the Generate Alternative File feature for pinned videos.
