Hi All,

UPDATE BELOW! - EFFECTING ALL TOUR VIDEOS

Last night I was working on our demo as I have been for the last few weeks. I decided to replace a pinned video in one of the scenes. After I published the tour it opened up as it usually does in chrome....however, this time the video wasn't playing. I cannot get the video to play on chrome only on my pc. It works fine on everyone elses chrome browser. I can play the video fine in any other browser.

I even created a button to play and pause the video, it works fine on every other device and browser....just not on the pc that is making the damned thing :-)

i have uninstalled and reinstalled chrome several times. Have removed all of the extensions that I had added to chrome as well. I have restarted my computer several times......but alas, no dice.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have no idea what the hell happened and really don't want to format my computer.....because that just sucks :-)

Thanks all!

Ok,

So I have narrowed down the issue. It seems that it is only the temporary page generated by Pano2VR to view the tour that is giving me the issues with Chrome. I have tried the following:

. Ran Malwarebytes which found nothing.
. Cleared Chrome cache and temp files.
. Removed all Chrome extensions.
. Reset Chrome to it's default state.
. Removed the "default" chrome folder in appdata.
. Removed Chrome.
. Cleaned registry.
. Installed Chrome.
. Ensured that javascript is enabled in Chrome.
. Tried disabling Chromes hardware accelerator.
. Uninstalled video codecs.
. Downloaded and reinstalled fresh copy of codecs.
. Uninstalled Pano2vr.
. Cleaned registry.
. Reinstalled Pano2VR.
. Downloaded fresh copy of Pano2VR.
. Uninstalled and Installed fresh copy of Pano2VR.
. Booted up in Safemode.

I have tried everything that I can think of but the issue still remains. The only time the video plays is if I am accessing it either directly from my server or if I am accessing it through my local xampp server.

Any ideas cause this is a real pain in the ass :-)

CONFIRMED CHROME ISSUE!

I have confirmed that this is indeed a Chrome issue. I installed the latest version of Pano2VR on my wife's laptop which runs windows 10 and the exact same issue is happening. I will create a short video to show what's going on.

Hi Hopki,

As I stated over here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13335

and created a video here to show what is going on here https://youtu.be/ZkbKreuwQEE

the autoplay is not turned on but I forgot to add that bit of important information here to this post. Again, tested on multiple devices with multiple "were working fine until yesterday" tours running over multiple servers.

Also, here are a couple o the example tests I created with video's autoplay turned off:

Amazon S3 server: https://s3.amazonaws.com/autoplay-off-demo/index.html
HostGator server: http://mtwas.com/wp-content/autoplay-of ... index.html

Notice that if you open the URL's in Opera, FF, IE or any other browser aside from Chrome, that the videos are NOT on autostart and that you have to manually INTERACT with the videos by clicking on them in order to get them to play and pause.

Have also noticed TONS of other individuals using Chrome complaining about the same issue of their embedded video no longer playing in Chrome within the last few hours.

Google Chrome also had a major version update yesterday 12/14/2018 which was supposed to only be for the current development channel, but who knows how and when they actually test these things publicly or even in what regions they test on to be sure they don't have a major flaw and are able to quickly roll back before full implementation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Ch ... on_history

I could be completely out of my mind with all of this but after having numerous friends try the exact same tours that were saved in their browser history and 100% of them saying that the videos no longer play.....I believe I am right :-)

Nope,

RECONFIRMED IT"S A CHROME ISSUE 100%

I uninstalled chrome and installed the last chrome version from here https://www.slimjet.com/chrome/download ... 59.181.exe and viola! It is 100% last nights Chrome browser update that is causing the issue.

Here is the video showing me installing the previous chrome version where the tours still worked.
