Here’s something that may be a little different use of Object2VR, namely animating a sequence of maps to show the progression of the recent Ferguson fire near Yosemite National Park:
https://lookabout.net/fire/ferguson/progression
It will cycle through automatically unless you turn that off with the Autorotation button.
You can cycle through manually by dragging the mouse horizontally. You can zoom in with the mouse scroll wheel and then drag the mouse to pan to an area you want to focus on. Then click the Control Mode button to have the horizontal dragging of the mouse go back to cycling through the maps.
The extent of the maps changed as the fire grew bigger so there’s some jumping around in terms of the size of the maps in the first part of the sequence.
The maps were all downloaded from the Incident Information System (https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5927/).
