Hello,

i want to embed my pano into my website.

After I successfully embedded my Pano, there is a lot of whitespace above and under my pano, when i resize the browser window.
Is there any possibility to remove this whitespace? Is it possible to give the parent container (with 100% height and 100% width) the width of the canvas object? The Container only have to be as large as the canvas object. But my canvas object got the same height as the container..

Dunno what to do anymore.. Would be nice if there is anyone around here with some solutions..
Many Many thanks!

I got a example for you:

Okay, i resolved this Problem.
Solution: Scale-Option - Max

And there will be no whitespace anymore.

But now i got another Problem.
The scaling works fine for all Desktop Viewports.

But the scaling do not work for mobile devices.
On the left side or right side is always missing a bit of my pano. Is this cause of the aspect ratio?
Or is there any other solution to show a correct scaled mobile pano?

Thank you so far.
Cheerio,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Can you confirm which software you are using?
Your saying Pano but your posting in the Object2VR forum.
Let me know and then I can help.

Hey Martin,

of course i am using Object2VR. With 'Pano' i mean 'Object'. Sorry for the bad wording.

I just bought Object2VR and using it on a windows workstation.
I am embedding the object on a bootstrap based website.

I added two images to show you my problem.

How it should be:
http://imgur.com/a/yf6dW

How it actually is:
http://imgur.com/a/GdtSZ

The problem as you can see, the scale do not work how it should be.
On the left and right side is missing somethin of the car.
If I scale my browser window just in the height, the scaling will work fine.
Thats the reason why I think that there is a problem with the aspect ratio.

But just for the mobile device. The scaling works fine for all desktop viewports.

Any ideas?

Thank you so far.

Patrick

Hi Patrick,
The website is not scaling the height with the width.
Do you have a link to your website with the object?

Hi Martin,

actually I dont have a link to the website. It is a project for a customer with utmost secrecy. So there is no chance to show it to you, at the moment. I am sorry.

But i also got this problem even when I dont embbed the object into my website. I just tested the .html which was written directly by object2vr. There is the same problem. I selected the scaling method: "max" in object2vr.

Hmm .. :/

Hi Patrick,
The scaling should be set to default which is Min.
Iv attached some test images, may be you can make a project using these to show the problem.

HI Patrick,
Iv had a look at your link.
Object2VR gives you five options but Objects have a aspect ratio, so it will depend on the browser/viewport size if your object gets cropped or clipped.

Example the setting "Min" will see the object open fully zoomed out, but if the browser/viewport is made wider the object will fit the window vertically but you will see borders at the sides. If you make the browser/viewport narrower you will see borders top and bottom but will fit horizontally.

Max will fit the horizontal unless the browser/viewport is made too narrow then its starts to crop the height.

Vertical will fit the object vertically and crop or add borders to the sides.

Horizontal will fit the object horizontally and crop or add borders to top or bottom.

So if your website starts resizing the viewport of the object with an odd aspect ratio then you need to make a decision on what should happen. If your website has a white background then set the player colour to white then use vertical. The object then will always fit in vertical, but this will depend on if the object is more portrait or landscape.

There is not, one size fits all solution, you have to think about whats going to work best for most devices.
If you websites viewport can keep an aspect ratio this would help.

Hey Martin,

thank you for your support. I really appreciate it! I solved my problem, and it fits now for every viewport.
I had to do some Javascript to scale the Object based on the window.width/height.

Watch the result here: Scroll to Visualizer to see the result.

I am still testing Object2VR.
I embedded the test project AT THE BOTTOM OF MY LINK (please review it):
http://www.perproyectos.com and then to " Especiales " tab...

Settings;
DISPLAY
Image Window Size: 450x253 (the current size of the other blocks)
Unchecked Keep aspect ratio
Image scaling: min

1) Question:
I used simplex_object skin and removed the block containing DESCRIPTION, AUTHOR, ETC but still is showed.

2) Question:
How do I scale at the window size? (as your examples>>> https://ggnome.com/object2vr/examples/dragon )

3) Question:
... or as you, to open it in another window?

Regards

Hi RRuiz,
I can not open your link, please make sure people can access your site so they can help.
Knowing this I can only guess what the problems may be.

1) If your still seeing User Data table and you have deselected the sin the HTML page then I can only assume you are using our GGPKG which also has this setting.

2) In Object2VR you set fullscreen in the HTML page. Then the frame size is set by your website.

3) Open the HTML page in the output folder to open a new page/tab

Hi RRuiz,
I see you have a set size!

Code: Select all

<div id="container" style="width:450px;height:253px;">
What you need to do is under the HTML tab set the template to fullscreen. (Red)
The object will then fit to the window size.

Also the User Data table has been selected, you need to deselect this option and make sure you update the HTML page on your website. (Green)

HI RRuiz,
The problem is how your page is handling the object and not the output.
Do you have a web developer that can help, it is page layout.
And again your link is broke.
