I do practically all my work on a windows PC, but I also have a macbook pro. On windows it is easy to figure out where for instance the skin folder resides on the disk, but even though the folder shows up when opened from within Pano2VR, I cannot figure out where it is hiding on the disk, and doing a universal search for something like "simplex.ggsk" or the folder "skins" shows nothing. It is only visible from within pano2vr. Can anyone please tell me where in the folder tree I can find it?

Hi Carel,

Never hesitate to ask; even after a number of years on P2VR I still have questions that the users of this forum answer for me. :D

Launch Pano2VR and go to Menu > Pano2VR > Preferences > Files and it will show you all of the default paths to folders containing your files.

If you want to open it directly from the desktop go to the Finder > Go > Go to Folder > in the 'Go to Folder' window enter /Users/'Your Computer User Name'/Library/Application Support/GardenGnomeSoftware/ (the same url as the one in Preferences)

Thanks Tony! I was not aware that there is more than one Library>Application Support and was looking in the wrong one. It appears that the search function excludes system files and that one has to specify this as a criterion as I just learned here: https://lifehacker.com/5711409/how-to-s ... es-in-os-x

Hi Carel,
Just to add to this, on a Mac the path to any folder can be accessed at the top of an open window. Just right button (control+click) the window title to see a drop down for the file path.

Hi Hopki,

I just tried that, and it does give the filepath for a skin file. When I do the same with Pano2VR (the program title) the filepath goes from MacBook Pro>Macintosh HD>Pano2VR Pro. So in that case the filepath skips the Application folder. Still - nice to learn a new trick.
