It appears that pano2vr converts png to jpg when generating its map tiles... may I put in a feature request that png and gif formats be supported when the program has to make resized versions? The png file format would be useful for floor plans, and gif would be useful for having animated hotspots that don't require animating within pano2vr.

Thanks!

Hi!
You can set the format of floor plan tiles in the floor plan properties panel (jpg or png).
You can also set a background color there, so if for instance the aspect ratio of the floor plan does not match that of the skin map element, the area around the floor plan will be painted in that color. (you can also set this color to transparent)

Regards,
Christoph

Although I'd still like to see gif support for animated hotspot images :-)

HI,
You can use animated SVG's and if you use an external image loader you can use animated GIF.
Or you can use a timer and animate by changing attributes of say a rectangle.
As an example please see this page: https://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/beta/hotspots-animated/

Yup! I was able to manually enter in html image loaders for my desired gifs, but thought it would be convenient if it were natively supported.

I'm definitely interested in trying out animated svg, and will have to do some research.

Thanks!
