Hi

I just installed latest V6 and I have weird problems. I upgraded pro license from V5 and activated it in V6

1. Whenever i start NEW project or open ANY existing one I get this prompt:

This project contains a flash output.
Flash output is no longer supported and will be removed from the project when you save it.
- I didn't used Flash in the project in latest V5 version at all.

2. When I click OK I get another one:
Locate Missing Files, One or more files could not be found. FIle type: Patch File: "name_of_that_file.tif"
- I worked on project with that patch file for more than 2 years ago.

And when I double click in it it opens this folder:

C:\Users\MyUSerName\AppData\Roaming\GardenGnomeSoftware
With these folders listed:
Autobackup
Pano2VR
Pano2VR5
SkinComponents
Skins

Note: Pano2VR6 folder is not there

3. And finally when I click Generate button for any new or existing project program crashes

"Pano2VR - Panorama Tour Builder has stopped working""

I tried several reinstalls and PC restarts
Latest version of V5 works OK everything else on PC works OK.

I also noticed that in Programs and Features
There is only one entry For Pano2 VR program, with no mention of V5 or V6.
When I uninstalled V6, no more Pano2VR programs listed in Programs and Features
but V5 still works.

After that deinstalled both V5 and V6 and reinstalled V6
Still the same prompts and crashes

So this time I uninstalled both, restarted and installed only v6
The same

Now I uninstalled it again, Emptied
C:\Users\Krxon\AppData\Roaming\GardenGnomeSoftware folder,
wipped all traces of pano2vr stuff from the registry.
restarted.

Now no more issues 1 and 2 but program still crashes on generating pano.
NO matter if using my skins or latest ones.

!!! But no crashes on new projects.

So I used one recent project file, added new pano in it and deleted all other, saved as copy - 5kb
Created new project, added the same panorama in it, and saved - 2Kb

When compared both p2vr files I can see whole bunch of difference in the code

Questions:

1. I guess that some leftowers in the code are causingcrashes
Any hints what might caused the problem? I can send you both files and skin file.
I would VERY much like to avoid need to create all my projects from the scratch :-/

2. When works, is V6 polished enough for production?

Hello

Nobody from "authorities" replied so I'll update.
I solved V6 crashing when Generating Output with V5 files

I had this at bottom:

<animation>
<title>Animation01</title>
<sequenceelement>
<nodeid>node4</nodeid>
<cliptitle>Clip01</cliptitle>
<transitiontype>cut</transitiontype>
</sequenceelement>
</animation>

After I deleted this:

<sequenceelement>
<nodeid>node4</nodeid>
<cliptitle>Clip01</cliptitle>
<transitiontype>cut</transitiontype>
</sequenceelement>

No more crashes.
I'm always reusing project files for new project to speed up a process
so these probably were some leftovers from my previous experiences with animations.

HTH

Hi,
I many of the things you have reported in your first post was it with using the first beta?
If so do you still get the same issues with beta2?
There are also lots more bug fixes in the next beta, not sure when this will get released but i'm hoping not to long.

Hi

I'm using latest beta v2.
No more flash and missing files prompts
I saw that it also added it's own folder.
Only crash when generating output from previous v5 p2vr files with v6 program.
But not any more after I removed mentioned lines.

Thanks

Hi,
I will copy the devs into this for them to have a look and see if they need to do anything.
But many thanks for your testing, much appreciated. 8)

hummmmmm,
I would check your graphics drivers, have a look at this page it has the links to the main card providers.
Note when you do an OS update not always the best driver gets installed. You are always best advised to use the card manufactures website and install from there.
Try this is not already done and let us know how you get on.
