Morning all ...

I've successfully managed to embed 360's into Apple iBooks, but wonder if it is possible to embed 360's in to PDF's ?

If not, what are the alternatives for embedding 360's in to e-brochures and e-magazines etc ?

Thanks in advance. :)

Any news on HTML5 support ?

Is it possible to embed a 360 into an online pdf file without using Flash ?

Thanks ...

it all depends on the Brand and version of the PDF application
Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0.15 HTML5 is running
kswoodcraft.pdf
(12.24 KiB) Downloaded 2039 times
but only skin in 100% no Video and BG music

Thanks for the working sample Svendus.

However, I think it's probably best just to include a hyperlink to external site if i want it all to work perfectly.

Would you agree ? Maybe a holding jpg that links to tour and then retains all the skin functionality.

Thanks ...

@ Svendus,
wow, did not know that, thanks for the heads up.
I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional which is Flash only.
I will say its a lot smoother that the HTML5 output as I find it jumps around rather then smoothly rotates, but that said still cool.
Personally I would add the link and host it. You get a better presentation and all the features. 8)

I'm confused :)

I'm looking to embed 360 panos into PDF, but not for online, but so that the document is portable !

I want my PDF embedded Pano to play *offline*.

How ? (Flash is not working well for me, it's very pixelated, looks 640px when the images used are 10000px wide).

Update;

I can create swf PanoVRs files from other (competitor) software and which embed perfectly into PDF's.

Yet when I export swf PanoVRs from Pano2VR though, the Pano is very, very pixelated in the PDF.

Not so via the competitor's software.

That tells me there is an issue with the Pano2VR swf file ?

Hi jez,
If you have a look at the SWF file Pano2VR produces and one for other software you will see a difference in file size, with Pano2VR's SWF being much smaller in file size.

Pano2VR 5 Flash output just has the preview images in the SWF file.
The full resolution images are in the tiles folder.
If you select the Advance tab in the Flash output and under Number of embedded levels at startup, set it to 99.
This will then add the tiles to the SWF.

Hi,
Adobe stops support for Flash in 2020, so it is a dead product and I would not do any development that includes Flash.
