hi all,

are there any tutorials / screen casts / download working examples for mono VR creation? I have a agency client client who's sent me this link, obviously created in KRPano, and I want to replicate the VR mode for Google Cardboard using hotspots to navigate:

http://360.ht/iframe/KKLNBGL

I don't have hours to "play around" with the VR template, as incredibly busy at the moment, so need something "straight out of the box"....

Happy to pay someone to work me up a 5 / 6-scene project folder....

PS - this is the worst quality tour I've ever seen, shot on iPhone, sold by these guys: https://www.vieweet.com/

Hi, Stu.

Have you seen this: http://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/5/hmd-how/

In the See also section, it includes working examples and a link to Martin's original tutorial in the forum.

Has anyone created any VR videos that work with a HMD? I have successfully been creating panoramas that work with my Google Cardboard, but really want to be able to create some motion as well. Are there any plans to develop this ability in Pano2VR? Or is there a way that I am just missing?

Hi Karyn,

thanks - very helpful! My first attempt doesn't work as expected. Only the left split moves to node 2, and then refuses to load other nodes within that one. The right screen stays on node 1. Any ideas?:

My second attempt - this time, my first time using the tour builder in v5:

http://www.360imagery.co.uk/draft/vr_test_2

Why am I getting an XML load error? The tour builder has generated all 20 tile folders (for the 20 nodes) but only 1 XML file, "pano.xml". Normally, when I have a .P2VR file for each node, I create an individual .XML file for each node, aa.xml, ab.xml, etc. How does the tour builder generate the complete package?

thanks

The XML error might from the hotspot(s) not being set to _self (so it opens in the same window). That's my initial guess.

For the first test, do you have Stereo selected in VR template? (From what I can tell, your tests are mono.)

Hope that helps!

Hi Karyn,

As this is my first attempt using the Tour Builder, all I've done is "drag & drop" the panos from the Tour Browser into the viewing pane - I assume the Tour Builder does everything else of creating each pano .XML file when I click "Generate Output". It does create the first pano .XML file, and all the tile folders for every pano - just not the individual, associated .XML files. What am I doing wrong?

no, "Nodes are stereo pairs" is deselected in HTML Template.

Hummmm, trust you, you broke it. :)
The ggt got updated on the 02 of October, have you downloaded this or still using the old one?
Not that it had any problems, but the new one has a smoothness setting.
So you still having problems with this?

with Martin's help, think I've got there:

http://www.360imagery.co.uk/draft/vr_test_4/index.html

However, is there a way of hiding the address bar in mobile Safari....?

hi

Does not work on Android (Sony Z3)

Tried also the Fullscreen (double click) option in Pano2VR which works somehow but breaks the 2 vision view....

Forcing fullscreen should be possible somehow I saw this hack
window.scrollTo(0,1);

-----------
iOS Safari doesn't have a fullscreen API, but we do on Chrome on Android, Firefox, and IE 11+.
http://www.html5rocks.com/en/mobile/fullscreen/

donno I would be fine if it works on android and browsers and we develop another solution for iphones and on pageload we check which phone is checking and load the respective code..
sounds simple but ... who can do that :)

Or is there eventually a solution with the cardboard API in browsers... ??

donno

Help wanted :)
