Hi !

I have a slight problem when trying to FLASH, HTLM5 or QTVR !

Here's the "*.html" page I get, once I have loaded the xxxxx.TIF equirectangular file, modified and saved the "Viewing Parameters", chosen an output format and filled all the options !

Image

In the "Settings" window, the program doesn't recognize the PATH of the *.TIF (in this case) image ?

...and, worse, in the "Flash Output" window...

Image

...isn't there a slight problem ? In "Template Output", the option "Format" is blank, but in the "Output File" name, instead of using the file path and name, it shows ".html.html" !!! WTF ??

BTW, this happens in ANY chosen format, be it FLASH, HTLM5 or QTVR !

Is there a way to set this properly ? I tried to COMPLETELY delete my version of Pano2VR, and even carefully cleaned the the REGISTER, but when I re-run the "Pano2VR 3.1.4 (64bits)" set-up file, it just came up the same way !!

What can I do ?

:(

Hi JP,
What the field name of the input image?
Does it have any fullstops in the file name?
Regards,
Hopki

I see in your output the filename .html.html So the file name contains a full stop (.)html and the suffix is .html

Hi Hopki and Dave ! Thanks for the quick comments !

The file name(s) of all my equirectangular images are "_DSCxxxx-yyyy.TIF" ! "xxxx" and "yyyy" being the number of the first and last images in the equi !

...but in fact, even BEFORE I add any image to Pano2VR, the two windows look like what I uploaded above, hence it can't have anything to doo with the file names, can it ?

EDIT !! Oooops ! I just remember that I had saved a DEFAULT thing with some parameters ! Now I have reset to the "basic" default and everything is OK !

Thanks for the details, Dave ! There were things that indeed I didn't remember !

...but apparently now, my problem is solved !

...errrr.... while we're at it, just another question: how can I use the "Save as droplet" thing, and which settings can I use in it (and how) ? ...as there is the usual "?" in the "Convert Panorama" window but no HELP available !

;-)

Thanks Dave ! I just found and read these docs !

Another thing I noticed in http://ggnome.com/wiki/Viewing_Parameters_%28Pano2VR%29 is the "Show North" option ! I haven't found it in my version ! Has it been dropped, replaced by something else or what ?

I think 'Show North' feature is a part of newer versions of Pano2vr. Maybe Pano2vr 4.0 ?

My version of 4.5.3 the 'show North' is located in the Viewing Parmeters bottom left North: [x] Show North {set} . When selected you mouse move the panorama around to the position of Known North (you were there and remember the direction)... from that point the Radar feature can be panned around to reflect the real world North direction.

Hope this helps

Well, I guess this wasn't yet implemented in the 3.1.4 version ! ...and now that I have downloaded -and already paid- the version 5, I guess I cannot get the version 4.x for free !?!

HINT... HINT.....

Hi JP,
In Pano2VR 5 you will see north at under the viewing parameters.
Under view settings you can also turn on and off the compass in the viewer.

Hopki

Thanks Hopki !

I started readind and viewing every possible tutorials, documentation, etc... on Pano2VR 5 ! The new look and possibilities makes it -for me at least- a whole new software.... Hence, I will keep using the "old" version for the day-to-day VR, until I feel I can start using thoroughly the version 5 ! But, being retired and NOT a pro photographer, I'm not in a rush... It's nice to learn new things every day !
