OK... I don't wait detailed answer

For beginning try 'total hoover'

Did that already. No help (Win-System)

Thisis how I think I got into this mess. To test my plugin-test page http://www.marktold.com/panoramas/hilfe I thought I uninstall some players.

I went to Extras - Interenet Options - Settings (by temp files) - Objects
(I hope its named like this in English) and just removed the Flash Object.

Don't try this at home because I am not a professional.

In the beginning I got still promptet for the active-x installment in IE but not anymore.

Also in the beginning the Flash installed swf was shown. No I dont get promptet for acitve-x and nothting :-(

I thinks some registry entry must tell flash that it is installed even if it isnt. But thats just a wild guess.

So any ideas are welcome

Repaired my Flash 8 installation and got Flash Player 8 working

Updating to 9 fails.

Might be a security setting after all but would not know since I have admin rights.

This post I found did the trick

All is not lost! The posts above render excellent advice but if these suggestions still do not work then you can try another possibility. You can try registering the .OCX file from the Safe mode by going to Start>Run>and in the open field type REGSVR32 "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash9.ocx" exactly like that. Hit Enter and if it was successful you will see a box which says it succeeded. Let us know how it goes.

It works for now!

In some cases I use installation with REGSVR32 (regssvr32.exe)procedure (for hiden reg) for pure Flash9.ocx

in other path

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Flash9.ocx
