Hello Dave,
I guess I am visitor #23
The pano runs fine and loads fast on my iPad v1 without crashes.
The fact that you didn't used a skin helped a lot.
I noticed that the pano is a littly fuzzy but apart from this I have no tech comments.
Best,
Wim

I uploaded Mark's aerial pano to the page shown above. It was taken at 150 feet [approx 50 meters] elevation above the ground.
Mark uses a video and data downLINK. He has a webcam looking straight down so he can tell the ground location. Cam is linked to a video monitor mounted on his control box. There is an altimeter sensor mounted on the R/C helicopter.
This is is his second R/C helicopter and dslr camer/ lens. First one fell into a deepwater lake.
helicopter is limted to 16 minutes flying time.

I learned today that the iphone and ipad use touch zoom in/out and wipe rotation.
I have embedded the pano to return to horizon after 2 seconds and start rotating after 5 seconds .
Not sure yet how to html5/css3 limit the zoom in/out like we can with the flash version.

As yourself, I have finally got an iPad 2 ...
While the flash pano is as one would expect, the iPad version does seem to be a little soft.
I have found the same to be true on my own work - the iPad screen is a unforgiving and does give a very crisp image on stills - maybe the sweet spot is yet to be found for html5?

Thanks for the comment. You might consider revisiting the page. We increased the cube face size which seems to improve the sharpness. We have been told not to over sharpen. So we are taking tiny improvement steps.
Page header should now read UPdated 9Jun11, and cube face sizes are noted on the right.
We just uploaded the new set of images about an hour ago.

According to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Desire
The HTC Desire runs the Android operating system, version 2.2 "Froyo". Android, version 2.3 "Gingerbread" update coming in June 2011.
I would be interested in knowing how quickly the images arrive.. the smoothness of rotation, and zoom in/out perform.
Thank you for your help

In an effort to determine which panorama type you are viewing on your device, I have written in the Nadir cube face the tile size.
For example,
if you are using an iPhone 4 you should read something like "html5/css3 800 pixels wide"
if you do not read any text --- nadair has no writing .. then you are using Flash on your device
I just checked my iPad 2 and it reads html5/css3 960 pixels wide which of course is the tile/cubeface 960x960 pixels
If you have a moment and would like to help us..
Visit http://www.360texas.com/services/sr/dbu/index.htm read the nadir text
Tell us here in the forum the device you are using and the nadir text you see
Maybe we can create a list of devices compiled here in the forum. This would help many of us in further developing mobile devices.
Interested in knowing more about iPhone 1,2,3,4 Ipad 1 and 2, and of course Android 3x devices
For Desktops: OS platform, Browser type and if you have flash plugin installed ... version ?
Thanks again. I think we are making headway now.

When visiting http://360texas.com/services/sr/dbu/index.htm
PC MS Vista SP2:
IE 9 Adobe Flash 10.3.181.23 - No Text visible No black or gray tile while loading
FireFox 4.0.1 Adobe Flash 10.2.152.32- No Text visible - noticed grey tile cubeface preview before full loading. Reloads fast from browser cache - gray tile not noticable
Safari 5.0.2 (7533.18.5) I guess its using html5 because I read - "html5/css5 1300 pixels wide" noticed black cubeface tiling before full loading. Reloads fast from browser cache - gray tile not noticable
Note: Zoom in/out works properly for IE9, Firefox, Safari Desktops Browsers. I used [x] inverse mouse wheel on PC Dell wired mouse. Please know this: I have deliberately set the zoom in/out and FOV to very small zoom distance. This prevents the visitor zoom in full to pixelation and zoom out to see all barrel distortion.
