Here's a prototype of yet another possible use for a Flash/ActionScript3 preloader:
showing two panoramas in one single window, with both panos moving in sync.
Good for showing before/after situations I think.
http://tinyurl.com/P2VR-Stack-of-Two-overunder
When it opens you can move the top pano, and the bottom one moves with it;
after clicking on the blue button the bottom pano will control the top one.
It's a first edition, so there still are lots of things that can be improved of course : )
Cheers!
Erik

Do a forum search, you'll find I've done my fair share of sharing here, AND some!
Besides, I've already disclosed how I do these tricks, it's all over this forum.
There's nothing secret about it at all, you can find everything you need to know on the Garden Gnome website, apparently hiding in plain view.
As our friend Sebastian no doubt knows, it's all done by very "simple" and "trivial" Flash scripting.
Well...not so simple for me though, I'm not an Action Script programmer, so I'm 'learning on the job'
Hey, I've just uploaded a new version: my over/under is buttonless now!
MUCH improved user experience I think.
If it works reliably that is, that remains to be seen of course.
Cheers!
Erik

Here's an example using proper 'Before and After' panoramas made by PhotoSpherix:
http://tinyurl.com/P2VR-OverUnder-PhotoSpherix
In spite of the obviously excessive HFoV it does give a better idea of what this particular preloader could be used for than my previous test version.
Thanks for letting me use those panos Matt!
Cheers!
