Hello,
I like to know if the further release of pano2qtvr will include a Defish
functionality so that it would be possible to cube the bottom view
and accelerate the process of patching or cleaning the ground.
It would be so useful.

Pano2qtvr will let you convert a equirectangular 2:1 like 2000 x 4000 dimensioned image into 6 separate cube faces. Left, back, right, front, top and bottom. Following that you can open and edit the bottom face (or any of the 6 face tiles). Once you are comfortable with the editing.. it will reassemble the 6 cube faces back into the original image. Then you can convert the image into QTVR or with the Flash Pak.. into a .swf Flash image.
Hope that helps

You really don't need to convert the cubes back to equi first.Once you are comfortable with the editing.. it will reassemble the 6 cube faces back into the original image. Then you can convert the image into QTVR or with the Flash Pak.. into a .swf Flash image.
You can use cubes directly as input for QTVR or flash.
Just choose "Project type= Cubic", then choose correct "Cube face base name".
This way you avoid another transformation (interpolation) step.

Klaus

true.. had not thought about that. We rarely use QTVR... we are making a real effort to implement Flash.
