Hi,
Have a look at this tip for embedding video in the skin. This is looking at YouTube but works with other websites.
If you wanted to play local video, at the moment for Flash you would need to package the video in a SWF container then use the external loader, and for HTML5, embed an MP4/Webm video in a webpage then use a text box with an iframe to display it.
