Thomas,

I've read Henri Smeets question about the addition of background audio but are there any plans to include directional audio as well? The reason I ask is that I'm currently playing around with a Zoom H2 (http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/h2/) which has the ability to use it 4 microphones at the same time to record surround audio. It would be great if I could just drop the 4 channel audio into a panorama to add to the immersive experience. I don't know if the audio would have to be embedded into the panorama itself of if streaming of the audio would be possible? (I don't even know if it is possible to keep 4 audio streams in synchronization at the same time).

Thanks,

Bob Bilsland.

I haven't really played with the sound feature of Flash but it should be interesting to check this out. I plan to add at least directional stereo sound after Qt 4.4 by Trolltech is released.

Thomas,

Thanks for the reply, the framework from Trolltech seems very interesting. The files I get from the H2 are a pair of stereo files so maybe it would be possible to anchor 2 stereo files into a single panorama?

Thanks again,

Some 4 or 5 years ago we played with this idea.
See the very old example at http://www.smooth360.com/sound

Unfortunately it requires Windows Media Player and PC for it to work.

Of course I would love to see this feature along with "directional mouse pointers" added to Pano2VR
