compass heading alignment in a tour

I have 200 spheres (panos) that were captured in a grid on 1 mile increments. I am going to create a tour. A problem I am experiencing is when navigating from one sphere to the next I want to keep the same pan/tilt angle. I have set the hotspot target to '$cur', yet when jumping from one sphere to the next the compass heading, pan, does not stay the same.

I have discovered that the reason is the equirectangular images are not all aligned with north at the same position within the sphere.

BUT.... why can't Pano2VR know where north is in the sphere? I set the position and heading in the 'user data' section properly.

Surely there must be way to accomplish this without having to edit all 200 spheres to have north be in the same position. It should take the offset number for north in the user data section and factor it when calculating the $cur position when navigating among spheres. Is there a solution?

This has been fixed in Pano2VR 4.5.2 by using $an/$at/$af
This will maintain the same north setting from one pano to the next.

You may find it easier to open the project file in a text edit, after backing up the file and
replace <target>$cur</target>
with <target>$an/$at/$af</target>

When I checked your xml file, all the targets for hotspots are empty instead of set to $an/$at/$af

well that's bizarre. Perhaps I have done something incorrectly in the skin editor?

It works if you set the target here.
