Would you please be able to provide some guildines on how to create a panoramic movie form the individual equirectangular frames? I got all of those. I tried to follow the steps that were on the page but had no luck.It produced an image that had the full panoram on top layer and 3 smaller chopper off part on bottom....Is that what the 3:2 special should produce?

Then i used windows movie maker to produce the movie and encoded that to flash to produce the flv. But no luck for the final product.

Any ideas?

Any help would be apreciated.

cheers

Is there a file size or I guess image number limit on a panoramic movie?

You might get better results by using a larger dimension jpeg file and compressing it more. Our eyes rods are more numerous and sensitive to the luminosity than the chroma detected by the red, green, and blue cones. You can see an example on the deval board.

So, of two files of equal size, it may be better to choose the jpeg file with a larger pixel dimension and more jpeg compression of the chroma information than a smaller dimension file with less compression.

Cube face dimensions I use depends on the width demension of image equirectangle. Sometimes I use a 2:1 ratio panorama 5000 wide x 2500 high, or 4000 wide x 2000 high

Example. Pi is 3.01416 and stitched panorama width divided by Pi

where the 2:1 panorama image width is

5000 pixels wide / 3.1416 = 1592 width x 1592 height pixel cube face
4000 pixels wide / 3.1416 = 1273.236 or 1273 width pixels cube face

Using these cube face sizes maintains the image sharpnes quality

To reduce the Flash or QTVR image FILE SIZE like 3.5mb or 1.5mb I make adjustments to each of the cube face compressions.

For example, FRONT, LEFT, BACK, RIGHT, compressions are set to 50 %, 50, 50, 50 TOP 40% and Bottom 35%

Hope this helps
